Nancy Blackshear

Lead Singer / Pianist

Nancy grew up on a farm in Nebraska. At the age of 7, Nancy discovered her love for singing and playing the piano. Her parents bought her a piano, the one she still has to this day. It sits in the sanctuary at Memorial Community Church. At 12 years old, Nancy began playing piano for the church where she gave her heart and life to Jesus. She attended the one room country school house that her father attended, through grade 8. Her high school years were at a private Christian School in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was attending Western Bible College, now Colorado Christian University, studying music, when she met Steve. Throughout Steve and Nancy’s journey of serving in various churches, Nancy has played for church choirs, sang and played for weddings and funerals, served on various worship teams, taught piano, and has for 22 years, served as worship leader at Memorial Community Church. Her passion for singing and playing the piano continues to this day. It is her hope and desire that God will use music to bring people into a meaningful worship experience with Jesus Christ.
